Optimate strikes gold
Last week, we received the news that Optimate had achieved Gold Integrator status with Inductive Automation! As the Authorised Distributor of Ignition Software in Australia, iControls extends our heartiest congratulations and would like to take a moment to recognise this and what it means.
Optimate’s logo tagline is ‘Powering Operational Intelligence’. For over 20 years – and currently with offices in Brisbane, Perth and India – this company has been a leading consultancy and integration company in the field of operational data. By using combined technical and business processes, Optimate integrates and combines data from contrasting sources into meaningful and valuable end-user information. Intelligent indeed. And they have the right people to match their claim.
Introducing Yifan Jiang, a Control System Engineer with Optimate who started with the company only last year. His swift progression through the Inductive University to become Gold Certified in advanced Ignition features is impressive.
When Yifan achieved Gold Certification, he consequently elevated Optimate to Gold Integrator Status. Knowing that they can offer their clients such an in-depth knowledge of Ignition is incredibly valuable: his newly (gold)-minted skills include advanced architectures, tag historian and compression, redundancy, SQL databases, troubleshooting error messages, and more. The tests for Gold Certification through the Inductive University generally take about 8 hours to complete, so it’s a considerable investment of time and effort.
Once you are Gold Certified, staying current is easy. Any time a major version of Ignition is released, you just need to cover the newest challenges in Inductive University and take the special upgrade version of your current certification test level.
Here’s what Yifan had to say about his achievement:
“We see Ignition as a truly open SCADA system that has the potential to disrupt the market and create wonderful applications. By using modern and widely accepted programming languages like Python, we see tremendous potential in the future. I am grateful to be given the opportunity by Optimate to learn and grow with the platform.”
iControls would like to congratulate both Yifan and Optimate once again – and we look forward to helping more of Optimate’s team achieve Gold and then progress toward Premier!
